Online Safety

Online safety and digital citizenship

E-Safety is an important part of keeping children safe at Chacewater School. We have extensive security measures and filtering in place in school, which are monitored both internally and externally, to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. Any e-Safety incidents are recorded and managed.  E-Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online. This is supported by resources from Natterhub.

We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with parents to ensure the e-Safety message is consistent. It is important that parents speak to their children about how they can keep safe and behave appropriately online.

Each month we will be sharing an online safety newsletter with important updates and information about how you can keep your children safe. These can be found below.

Parental Controls

The below guide will help you set up parental controls to provide your child with a safer online environment. Parental controls can help to protect your child from seeing something that they shouldn’t - although it is important to emphasise that no system is effective all of the time so it is important to engage with your child and talk to them about their online life regularly.
