Acorns: Learning about plastic pollution in the sea and making marine animals using recycling
Seedlings: Learning about nature through forest school activities outside on the field
Buds: Learning about biodiversity and making seed bombs and fat balls for birds
Young Oaks: Learning about pollution and carrying out a traffic survey of how children travel to school
Bur Oaks: Learning about litter and carrying out a litter pick of the school grounds and local areas
Red Oaks: Learning about keeping healthy and helping to decorate our new school recycling bins
Mighty Oaks: Learning about the carbon footprint of food and where it comes from
At the end of the day, we celebrated our Eco learning and work in parents assembly. Take a look at our pictures to see what each class got up to!
Our Lovely Pond!
Many thanks to Mrs Brown and Miss Bennett for all of their amazing hard work developing our lovely pond area. The children have loved exploring this new area and learning about how the pond can help promote biodiversity in our school grounds. Check out our before and after photos!
